Training and Equipping National Pastors and Missionaries
HIM's staff equips the national Church to be better prepared to fulfill God's calling on their lives. This is accomplished by American staff and guest lecturers teaching in Bible colleges, seminaries and at leadership conferences and specialized seminars on topics such as Christian counseling -- something totally unheard of in this culture. Over 40% of new missionaries to the former Soviet Union are being trained in Ukraine.
Kremenchuk Regional Bible College (KRBC) is located in Kremenchuk, on the Napper River about four hours southeast of Kiev. KRBC is a 10-year-old Christian educational institution dedicated to the preparation of pastors for ministry in the evangelical/Baptist churches of central Ukraine and to training and sending forth missionaries, youth pastors, music and worship leaders and other Christian workers. The primary goal of KRBC is to give a practical Biblical education in which the balance between academic and practical application is supported. The basis for training in the college is conservative, fundamental doctrine. HIM provides qualified teachers and pastors to teach various courses lasting one to two weeks. HIM also provides financial assistance to help pay administrative costs of the college and faculty salaries. HIM needs qualified and gifted pastors and teachers who can give 10 days to several weeks a year to stand beside us in training the trainers.
