Steps to Joining HIM
Thank you for considering service with HIM. HIM does not provide a salary for volunteers, associates or our missionaries. Our missionaries who do not have their own personal financial means are responsible for seeking the Lord to form an HIM support team consisting of individuals and churches. The following are typical steps in joining service with HIM:

Diligently pray and reflect on the Lord's leading. Seek the counsel of your church. All HIM missionaries are commissioned by a sending church - their support is invaluable.3. Complete Application
For volunteer service, complete a Volunteer Application. For all other applicants, complete our Application form. If married, your spouse must also complete an application, as we consider both husband and wife in the application process. (When accepted for full-time service, both husband and wife are considered missionaries with Helps International Ministries.)
4. Evaluation
References that you supply on the application are reviewed by the applicable staff and/or the Executive Committee of the HIM Board. You will be notified of your status. For a volunteer/associate applicant, the process ends here. You will be contacted for ministry opportunities if approved as an HIM volunteer/associate. For all other applicants, the process continues with the following typical steps.5. Candidate Class
